Job Posting: Wastewater Lagoon Operator

Enviro-Systems is a privately owned environmental services company specializing in the operation and management of wastewater treatment systems, including lagoon-based operations

Position Overview: We are currently hiring a Wastewater Lagoon Operator to oversee the daily operations of one or more wastewater lagoon systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in lagoon-based treatment and a strong understanding of compliance standards and mechanical operations.

You will play a key role in ensuring efficient treatment performance and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and maintain lagoon treatment systems

- Conduct routine field inspections, sampling, and compliance records

- Monitor flow rates, lagoon levels, and influent/effluent conditions

- Maintain equipment such as flow meters, Lift Stations.

- Complete daily logs, inspection reports, and regulatory documentation

- Communicate with clients and internal teams on system performance

- Respond to alarms or emergencies on an on-call basis

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred

- Minimum 1 year of experience in wastewater treatment, preferably lagoon systems

- Grade 1 ADEM Wastewater Certification.

- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record

- Strong mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot on-site

- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

- Inspect new construction of low pressure and force mains along with system components.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites if needed.

Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with SCADA or remote monitoring systems

- Troubleshooting electrical panels

- Understanding of construction plan blueprints.
